I always assumed that canine tail-wagging was a fairly straightforward phenomenon, but according to a study reported in The New York Times, there's more to it. Who knew?

OK, so what does my insecure self do, but run into the kitchen and get Charlie a treat, and yes, I watched his tail like I never have before.
He is one positive canine. Even amongst the controlled chaos, he remains positive.
Thank God for science to let me know this.
I will sleep well tonight.
