Word Rage

Further evidence that I'm not alone: An op-ed in today's Washington Post led me to the results of this contest in Britain's Telegraph.

I sometimes marvel that I survived two years at a PR agency -- which is where I first heard, at the age of 30, such irritating terms as 24/7 and thinking outside the box, among many others.

I am gobsmacked that Barack Obama thinks the word antebellum is so monstrous, merely refers to era before the Civil War and is nothing like miscegenation which is a nasty word.
