The Day the Music Drowned

I used to laugh at people who dropped their cell phones in the turlit, but not since my iPod suffered the same ignominious fate.

Alas I recently suffered a cell phone incident though not in the little girls room. Fortunately, the folks at the Apple Store were understanding. They rejected my insistence that I was responsible saying "there's not a mark on this phone so you couldn't have dropped it." I happily walked out with my (free) replacement.
Customer service is such a rare treat these days.

No such luck for me, although I did get 10 percent off for handing in the old one.

Ifrogz sells a nifty waterproof case if you think this might become a habit

You told them it was in the turlit? Did they use a paper towel to pick it up?

I believe we simply said it got wet.

The clerk kept trying to give us back the old case.

"No, no," we insisted. "We don't need it."
